Please read these terms carefully before booking our cleaning services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking our cleaning services, visiting our website, or engaging with Spark Skoon Cleaning Services in any manner, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Spark Skoon reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services signifies your acceptance of updated terms.

2. Service Description

Spark Skoon provides professional home and commercial cleaning services including but not limited to:

  • Regular cleaning (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly schedules)
  • Deep cleaning
  • Kitchen & bathroom cleaning
  • Window & glass cleaning
  • Move-in/Move-out cleaning
  • Specialised and custom cleaning services

All services are performed by trained, vetted professionals using approved cleaning products and equipment. Service scope, frequency, and pricing are determined by quote, booking confirmation, and mutual agreement between the customer and Spark Skoon.

3. Booking & Reservations

A. How to Book

Customers can book services through our website, phone, WhatsApp, or email. A booking confirmation will be provided via email or SMS, which includes date, time, service type, and estimated duration.

B. Booking Confirmation

Booking is only confirmed upon payment or written confirmation from Spark Skoon. Verbal requests do not constitute a confirmed booking. A confirmation email/SMS will be sent to you with all service details.

C. Access to Property

You must ensure that our cleaning team has safe and unobstructed access to the property on the scheduled date and time. If access cannot be provided, you are responsible for any cancellation fees or rescheduling costs.

D. Scheduling Changes

Any changes to your booking should be communicated to us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate requests, subject to availability and our rescheduling policy.

4. Pricing & Payment

A. Pricing

All prices are quoted in South African Rands (ZAR) and are subject to VAT where applicable. Pricing is based on property size, service scope, frequency, and location. Final pricing will be provided in your booking confirmation.

B. Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash (on-day payment)
  • Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)
  • Credit Card (via secure payment gateway)
  • Mobile payment platforms

C. Payment Terms

Payment is due on the date of service unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon in writing. Invoices will be provided upon completion of service.

D. Late Payments

If payment is not received by the due date, Spark Skoon reserves the right to suspend services and charge interest at 10% per annum on overdue amounts, as well as recover any collection costs.

E. Price Adjustments

Spark Skoon reserves the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' written notice. Existing bookings will not be affected by price changes.

5. Cancellation & Rescheduling

A. Cancellation Policy

  • More than 48 hours notice: Full refund or reschedule with no fee
  • 24-48 hours notice: 50% of service fee retained
  • Less than 24 hours notice: 100% of service fee charged
  • No-show (customer unavailable): 100% of service fee charged

B. Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests made more than 48 hours in advance are subject to availability and incur no additional fee. Requests made within 48 hours may incur a rescheduling fee.

C. Spark Skoon Cancellations

If Spark Skoon must cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (emergency, illness, weather), we will offer a full refund or reschedule at no charge. Spark Skoon is not responsible for external factors beyond reasonable control.

D. Refunds

Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method. Cancelled bookings will not be refunded if cancellation fees apply per our policy above.

6. Liability & Damages

A. Our Responsibility

Spark Skoon cleaning professionals are trained to handle your property with care. We use industry-standard cleaning methods and products. However, we do not guarantee damage-free cleaning in all circumstances.

B. Excluded Items

The following items are excluded from cleaning scope and we assume no liability for:

  • Valuable items, jewelry, cash, documents, or personal belongings
  • Fragile or antique items
  • Electrical appliances and electronics
  • Items not in the customer's control or clearly designated

Please secure or remove such items before our team arrives.

C. Damage Claims

If damage occurs due to Spark Skoon's negligence, the customer must report it in writing within 24 hours of service completion with photographic evidence. Claims not reported within this timeframe will not be considered. Our maximum liability for damages is limited to the cost of the service provided.

D. Property Condition

Customers acknowledge that Spark Skoon is not responsible for pre-existing damage, deterioration, or structural issues of the property. Cleaning services will not repair, restore, or remedy damage caused by factors outside our control.

7. Customer Responsibilities

A. Access & Safety

  • Provide safe access to the property for our cleaning team
  • Ensure gates, doors, and entry points are accessible
  • Provide parking facilities if applicable
  • Inform us of any safety hazards or restricted areas

B. Communication

  • Provide accurate property details and special requests
  • Notify us of changes or cancellations promptly
  • Provide emergency contact information
  • Respond to communication from Spark Skoon in a timely manner

C. Property Preparation

  • Remove or secure personal belongings and valuable items
  • Clear clutter from areas to be cleaned
  • Lock pets in a secure area (if applicable)
  • Ensure reasonable access to all areas to be cleaned

D. Hazardous Materials

Customers must disclose the presence of any hazardous materials, infectious substances, or health risks. Failure to disclose may result in service cancellation with full charges applied.

8. Conduct & Behavior

A. Professional Standards

Spark Skoon staff are trained professionals. Customers must treat our team with respect, courtesy, and dignity. Abusive, disrespectful, or harassing behavior will not be tolerated.

B. Service Suspension

Spark Skoon reserves the right to suspend or terminate services immediately if:

  • The customer engages in abusive or harassing conduct
  • The customer makes unreasonable demands or changes
  • The property poses health or safety hazards
  • Payment is not received or bounces
  • Terms of service are violated

C. Photography & Testimonials

Customers grant Spark Skoon the right to use before/after photos, testimonials, and feedback for marketing purposes unless explicitly declined in writing.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including logos, branding, photos, text, and service descriptions, are the intellectual property of Spark Skoon and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use is prohibited without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spark Skoon shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business interruption
  • Damages arising from external factors beyond our reasonable control (weather, natural disasters, third parties)
  • Bodily injury or property damage claims (unless directly caused by our negligence)

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. Some jurisdictions do not allow liability limitations, so this may not apply to you.

11. Dispute Resolution

A. Informal Resolution

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us immediately at sparkskooncleaningservices@gmail.com or +27 (81) 389-2839. We will attempt to resolve the issue within 10 business days.

B. Formal Proceedings

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through arbitration or court proceedings in accordance with South African law. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflicts of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of South Africa.
